Faculty Spotlight: Matthew Rossi

matthew_rossi

Our faculty spotlight this week is Matthew Rossi! Charlotte is an Associate Professor here at MSU WRAC who teaches WRA 101 and PCW. Matthew also serves on the First Year Writing Advisory Committee and is one of the organizers of the First Year Writing Conference and the WRAC Faculty Symposium each semester.

Outside of the department, he hosts the REO Town Reading Series in Lansing. Recently, they published the REO Town Reading Anthology as a collaboration with The Cube in WRAC. Matthew also runs the volunteer program and community outreach for The Lansing Makers Network, a local makerspace that also hosted a faculty learning community in 2019 and 2020. In fall 2021, he’s looking forward to using the lessons learned from that learning community in teaching WRA 495, with the theme of Maker Communities and Composition.

Thank you, Matthew, for all the ways you contribute to WRAC!
